In order to set new standards for European metro networks with the Grand Paris Express and to virtually double its size, in the course of the project 200 km of metro lines are expected to be built by 2030. The space-saving and efficient HKS 500 separation plant and the LW530 centrifuge are used for the Vertical Shaft Sinking Machines (VSM) deployed for the project. To further increase performance, a flocculant station provides polymers to the centrifuge.

Constant performance - even with difficult and changing soil conditions

In vertical shaft boring, the ground conditions change with every meter of advance. The separation plant must therefore also be able to process a wide variety of suspension properties in order to maintain constant separation performance.

 

With the HKS 500 used, the density of the feed stream was maintained throughout the project.
